Our special guest for today is Mr. Harsh Mehta, who is a successful entrepreneur & a very humble person

let's experience his struggle behind his success story as a successful businessman.

Q. Hi sir, pleased to meet you. Can you please introduce yourself to our audience?

A. Hello, I am Harsh , I am from surendernagar,I am in Ahmedabad from 8 years. I have gone through a long journey, have completed my Masters & MCA . I started my first job with 10,000/- as a Jr.IT profile in 2013. After that i explore my career & switched my job for next 2-3 years from IT to Digital Marketing, where i came across bulk message product & this product was very attractive to me.

While researching on this product for 6 months ,i came across the need of this in the market. There i thought to start my own business in 2015 and started a company name HSB -SMS business, with 4 employees & 2 of my friends as partners.

Gradually, with lots of ups & downs as we had no experience in business i started it but now by god's grace we have 25 employees & more than 50,000 clients in PAN India.

Q. Why did you choose this business?

A. I have done MCA but i have no interest in programming , when i was into job i wasn't satisfied with it & at the back of the mind always had a thought of doing business. In my last company where i was doing a job there they use to provide these services, there i got to know about these services.

Later, i researched on this industry , how it works & how to make clients etc. After that i took a risk & quit my job & started my own business.

Q. What's your family background ?

A. My family background is different from my business, no one from my family is in this business, my father is in medical business & my mother is a home maker.

This business was very new to me but by god's grace we are doing good & growing with time as we started adding new services & categories in the business.

Actually we entered the market at a very right time when the demand of digital marketing was at hype in the market. Our business was at full fledge in 2018, as people where a bit more aware of social media & digital marketing.

Digital Marketing emerged as the essential part of all the start up's & new business in the market.

In pandemic times also we had good sales because we deal in all sectors, our focus was PAN India always as we deal in different segment, we work on resellers & direct users.

Q. What's the reason behind the name of the company?

A. The name of the co. is set with the first name of all the 3 partner's & the service provided by us.

i.e., H - Harsh, S - Summit, B - Bharat Raj., HSB- SMS Business .

Q. In today's generation what's the perception of people towards business?

A. Now a days people think let's not take risk , but taking risk is mandatory you can't secure everything. If you are passionate about doing anything you have to give your 100% , Whether it be a job or business. If you are confident , planning is good, vision is clear and working hard is all that is required.

I'll tell one more thing i always had a vision to promote women , In my whole sales team we have 100% WOMEN and the reason behind it is , Women's are always dedicated towards their work and complete their work on time, they don't switch very frequently, either at personal or professional level.

My sales team leader is also a women. In 35 employees ,we have 28 women in our company .I have interviewed a lot of women . So i look for 3 basic requirements Communication skills, Background , Education & Experience. If i think anyone is in need of job then i recruit & train her.

Q. What do you think are the 3 parameters to start a business?

Hard work
Clear Vision
Take Risk

At the initial stage we have to work hard and should keep our vision clear and take risk. People usually judge that how successful a particular entrepreneur may be but they don't know the struggle, entrepreneur has done to build up the business.

Q. How is a team important in business?

A. A team plays an important role in the business. Having a strong team is very important and keeping them motivated, to be connected with them to the root level. Just sitting in your cabin & watching your employees through camera will not work out. A good team is when you value them & grow together. If your team is not happy & satisfied your business will grow at a low pace. You have to enrich your employees so that they give their 100% to the business.

Q. How do you manage the struggle of entrepreneur at personal level?

A. When I initially started this business I use to manage everything solely. At the time of festivals also i had to switch on my laptop & work. There's a bit of struggle to manage personal & professional life parallelly. Every business have their own perceptions, we can't define balanced life in business. Business needs are different at different times.

Q. Who is your Mentor or Guide?

A. My parents are my mentor and my god is my guide. Firstly , I believe in myself and I consider that self - discipline is very necessary to be a successful entrepreneur.
